SYNOPSIS

René (1898-1981) was willing to be a writer, he becomes René Clair, Clair like the light of the Lumiere’s brothers. He was one of the firt « authors » of films. A poet full of humor and humanism. Born in Paris, he loves his city (Sous les toits de Paris, Porte des Lilas), and inspires the cinema up to now. His art was also musical comedies. His chefs d’oeuvres are « Le Million » et « 14 juillet. » He was the ambassador of the French cinema abroad. Cinema enters in Academie Française with him.
